Ruia te Kakano Show
On Wednesday 8th June Room 11and 12 went to an awesome Maori show. It was about a mouse and a yellow eyed penguin going on a quest to take a birthday cake to a bird. Everything they said was in Maori. There was also a narrator. He was talking in Maori and English. When we got to the theatre we saw another school there to watch the show. There was also a bad guy. He was trying to take the cake because it was also his birthday. He kept on following the mouse and the Yellow eyed penguin. Every time they saw the octopus they got scared. We also learnt some words like Kia ora, kei te pai, e peke etc. We really liked the show - we went there because we were learning about Maori language. The show was really funny and cool. In the end the bad evil octopus became friends with the yellow eyed penguin and the mouse and they all became friends.
